Life of a Butterfly

Blue Class examined the life cycle of a butterfly and did some lovely paintings. What do you think of them? Since Easter all the classes have watched each caterpillar in the vivarium develop into a chrysalis and have seen the butterflies emerge. The butterflies were released into the park in June.

Green Class

Yellow Class

Yellow Class have been very busy this year. They looked at the life cycle of the frog. Fiona, the class teacher, brought in frog spawn from her garden and everyone watched them develop before releasing the tadpoles back into her garden. All the junior classes observed the growth and changes and were fascinated by it. In Maths, the class made shape men. Can you name all the shapes they used?

Mars Class

Mars Class studied 'Sunflowers' by the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. Eoin, Mathew, Alicia, Aaron, Luke and Cian painted their own sunflowers. What do you think?

Venus Class

The pupils have been working really hard this year. Here are some of the projects that they have been working on.

Every week Senior 4 have their Home Economics class. They have baked and cooked various dishes and in the final term they decided to invite all their parents and grandparents into the school. They baked treats and served tea and coffee to their guests. The boys asked lots of questions about what school was like long ago. Their parents and grandparents had some very interesting stories.
